I can offer private tuition in my studio or at your home should you prefer . I provide personal attention and in depth advice to help you get the best from your painting through one to one sessions. It does not matter what level of an artist you feel that you are right now, my teaching is aimed to help you attain more understanding about your medium and the process of creating a good picture. Students gain a greater knowledge in deciding what to paint, and how to paint a picture.

My teaching covers all aspects of painting and drawing both in and out of the confines of the studio. From the ideas, through their development and on to the creation of the painting. Finally advice and help on marketing, displaying and selling your painting.
I can work with you in areas you specifically desire, adding to your strengths, and improving any weak areas in your painting.

Private one to one sessions cost £ 30.00 per hour.
Two sharing will cost £22.50 each per hour.
Three or more, maximum five students will cost £15.00 each per hour.
All the above will include light refreshments.( I do not supply materials as each student works with their chosen medium and support).
Please note that it is always reccomended that a minimum of two one hour sessions are booked back to back.
You can paint a subject of your choice or something that you have been working upon. If you are intending to use your own reference image, I would recommend that I check it for suitability, as poor reference material will do you no good at all. Otherwise I can set sunject and ideas for paintings, or indeed you can find an image amongst my extensive reference library and use that.
Please contact me to for a chat to discuss your requirements, and to book a suitable time and date.
If you do not live nearby, then maybe join one of the workshops that I am planning for 2009/10. They are designed for a small group of like minded students wishing to enjoy the company of others, and to gain a greater knowledge of painting skills from a one or two day workshop. Full details with dates and times will be detailed on the Workshops page .
Visits for private tuition over 3miles will be subject to a small petrol charge to cover costs
